It's time to select our new Community Board of Contributors. We'llchoose a dozen or so readers to write columns that will appear on oureditorial or oped pages.
The yearlong assignment is to write about issues that areimportant to you, especially issues bubbling here in the MiamiValley. We're most interested in writers who will take up subjectsour regular columnists aren't tackling.
In years past, our local writers have covered controversies asdiverse as body piercing, Internet voting, mental-health treatment,smoking and motorcycle clubs.
You don't have to be a professional writer to apply, but you doneed to have an opinion to share.
The deadline for applications is April 12. Send us:
* A brief biography, one page or less. Please include yourtelephone number and e-mail address, if you have one.
* A sample column, 650 words or so.
* Three ideas for future columns.
