VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AT THE FAIRFAX COUNTY PUBLIC LIBRARY.

FAIRFAX, VA -- The following information was released by Fairfax County (Virginia):

The Fairfax County Public Library is recruiting volunteers. Please help us advertise our opportunities by sharing this list with friends, family, neighbors, coworkers, school, clubs or places of worship - wherever someone may be able to help.

County-wide

Inspire children to read by becoming a Fairfax County Public Library Book Talk volunteer. Once a week (April-June) volunteers will visit local elementary schools with a library staff member and present book talks. A book talk is a short presentation which gives a glimpse into the setting, characters and plot of a book without telling the entire story and entices the children to want to read the book on their own

Experience teaching and leading children's programs is required.
